YeetIt, Inc. and its affiliates ("YeetIt," "we," "us," or "our") provide this Privacy Policy to explain how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use the YeetIt mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). YeetIt is a California-based company, and the Services are intended for users in the United States.
This Privacy Policy is designed to function both as a general privacy disclosure and, where applicable, as part of YeetIt's notice at collection for users who interact with the Services through our website or mobile application. California law generally requires businesses to provide consumers with notice about categories of personal information collected, the purposes for which that information is used, whether it is sold or shared, and applicable consumer rights.
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect from or about you when you create an account, connect an email account, review item cards, communicate with us, visit our website, or otherwise use the Services. It does not apply to third-party websites, applications, email providers, marketplaces, or other services that we do not own or control, even if they are linked to or integrated with the Services.
A core feature of YeetIt is helping users identify items they may have purchased and may still own. If you choose to connect an email account, you instruct YeetIt and its service providers to access and analyze information from that account in order to identify purchase-related messages and generate item cards for your review.
Depending on the connected provider and the permissions you grant, this may include receipts, order confirmations, transaction-related messages, sender information, message metadata, product details, images, and other content our systems determine is relevant to identifying likely purchases. Because email content can contain sensitive personal information under California law, we use that data only as reasonably necessary to provide the Services you request, maintain security, comply with law, and support related internal business operations.
YeetIt may collect several categories of personal information. Identifiers and contact information may include your name, email address, username, account ID, device-linked identifiers, and IP address. We collect this information directly from you, automatically from your device, and from service providers as needed to create and maintain your account, authenticate access, deliver the Services, maintain security, provide support, and send communications. We generally retain this information while your account is active and thereafter as reasonably necessary for legal, security, tax, audit, and dispute-resolution purposes.
Connected account and authentication information may include email-provider connection tokens, provider identifiers, connection status, and the permissions you grant. We collect this information directly from you, from connected email providers, and from authentication vendors in order to enable and maintain linked accounts, authenticate sessions, and provide purchase-identification features. We generally retain this information while the connection is active and thereafter only as needed for security, troubleshooting, compliance, and recordkeeping.
Purchase-related and email-derived information may include receipts, order confirmations, transaction-related email content, sender details, merchant names, purchase dates, item titles, descriptions, images, and related metadata. We collect this information from connected email accounts, service providers, and in some cases publicly available or commercial data-enrichment sources to identify likely purchases, generate item cards, improve matching accuracy, and support the user review workflow. We generally retain this information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Services, maintain user histories, improve matching quality, and satisfy legal or operational obligations, unless deletion is required by law or valid request.
Ownership-confirmation and interaction data may include your swipes, confirmations, rejections, corrections, item-status responses, saved preferences, and similar in-app actions. We collect this information directly from you in order to record your decisions, personalize results, improve item relevance, and support future Service features. We generally retain this information while it remains useful for providing the Services and thereafter as needed for legitimate business, security, or compliance purposes.
Device, usage, and analytics information may include device type, operating system, app version, browser type, crash reports, session logs, feature usage, timestamps, and approximate location inferred from IP address. We collect this information automatically from your device and from analytics or infrastructure providers in order to operate, secure, debug, measure, and improve the Services. We generally retain this information according to business need, system log cycles, security requirements, and analytics settings.
Communications and support information may include messages you send us, support requests, survey responses, and related records. We collect this information directly from you to provide customer support, conduct quality assurance and training, handle disputes, and improve the Services. We generally retain this information as long as reasonably necessary to address your request and maintain business and legal records.
Inferences and service outputs may include likely purchase matches, ownership signals, estimated value ranges, and item-priority indicators generated from available data. We derive this information from the categories described above, sometimes with assistance from service providers, in order to present item cards, rank likely matches, and improve service performance. We generally retain this information as long as needed to provide and improve the Services, subject to legal and operational requirements.
We do not sell personal information for money. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as described under California law, based on YeetIt's current business model and this version of the Services.
We collect personal information from several categories of sources. First, we collect information directly from you when you create an account, communicate with us, or interact with item cards. Second, we collect information from connected email providers and authentication tools when you choose to connect an account. Third, we collect certain information automatically from your device and use of the Services. Fourth, we may receive limited information from service providers, fraud-prevention vendors, analytics providers, or data sources that help us verify or enrich item-related information.
We use personal information for the following business and commercial purposes:
We use information to create and administer accounts, authenticate users, and maintain account security. We use connected email and purchase-related information to identify likely purchases, create item cards, display item descriptions and images, estimate value ranges, and allow you to confirm whether an item was yours and whether you still own it. We use usage and interaction data to operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Services. We use contact and support information to respond to you, provide customer support, and send service-related notices. We also use information to detect fraud, enforce our Terms, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain internal records, and evaluate or develop new features.
We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients, subject to appropriate contractual or legal safeguards.
We disclose information to service providers and contractors that help us host the Services, store data, authenticate users, process and analyze connected-account data, deliver communications, provide customer support, monitor infrastructure, prevent fraud, and support analytics and internal operations. We may disclose information to professional advisers, such as lawyers, auditors, insurers, and consultants, when reasonably necessary. We may disclose information to law enforcement, regulators, courts, or other third parties when required by law or when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, and security. We may also disclose information in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, asset sale, bankruptcy, or other corporate transaction.
We do not disclose the contents of your connected email account to unrelated third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
We and our service providers may use cookies, SDKs, pixels, local storage, log files, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember settings, maintain sessions, understand usage patterns, detect errors, and improve performance. Depending on how the Services evolve, these tools may be provided by analytics, infrastructure, attribution, or fraud-prevention vendors.
If YeetIt later introduces advertising or other technologies that constitute a sale or sharing of personal information under applicable law, we will update this Privacy Policy and any required notices and choices before those practices become effective.
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and maintain business records. Because retention can vary by data type and context, we may retain information based on criteria such as the duration of your relationship with us, whether the data remains necessary to provide the Services, the sensitivity of the data, reasonably anticipated litigation or regulatory needs, and applicable limitation periods.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the internet or method of storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for notifying us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
You may have several choices about how your information is used. Depending on the functionality we make available, you may be able to update account information within the Services, disconnect a linked email account, or request deletion of your account by contacting us. You may also opt out of promotional emails by using the unsubscribe mechanism included in those messages, although we may still send transactional or service-related communications.
Disconnecting a linked account or deleting your account may limit or end your access to some Service features. We may retain certain information after deletion or disconnection where permitted or required by law, for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or recordkeeping.
If you are a California resident, California law may provide you with rights to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information a business has collected about you, request deletion of personal information, request correction of inaccurate personal information, opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information in certain circumstances. We do not currently sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that would typically require a right-to-limit link under current California law as reflected in this Policy. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any additional rights or notices required by law.
You also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising applicable privacy rights. To submit a privacy request, you may contact us using the details in the Contact section below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and we may deny or limit a request where permitted by law.
YeetIt's Services are intended for users in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate, subject to applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice by updating the date at the top of this Policy, posting notice through the Services, sending an email, or using another reasonable method. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the revised Policy, to the extent permitted by law.
